In view of high silt contents from the upper reaches of Baleh which cause high raw water turbidity, we are unable to carry out raw water extraction from Rajang River and both our Treatment Plants can only run at minimum capacity. We have resolved to stop raw water extraction at Salim Treatment Plant and Bukit Lima Treatment Plant on 23.08.2021 at 3.15 a.m. and 3.26 a.m. respectively.
However, our raw water extraction resumed as usual at 6.50 a.m. for Salim Treatment Plant and 7.55 a.m. for Bukit Lima Treatment Plant. The water pressure is anticipated to be recovered gradually. We are still monitoring the situation and will keep our customers updated.
